Our take on ENGIE
ENGIE has picked up some genuinely strong industry recognition: the Australian Customer Experience Professionals Association ranked it first nationally for call-centre experience in early 2025, and it has won "Business Energy Provider of the Year" and state-level "Outstanding Value" awards. Its Perks plans and Seniors and solar options can be genuinely useful if you already bank with NRMA or hold a Seniors Card, though as always, compare the actual dollar pricing at your address rather than the discount headline.
Review platforms tell a more mixed story, and it is worth knowing the scores swing a long way depending on where you look: Trustpilot has it at 3.6 out of 5, while ProductReview.com.au puts it at 1.3 out of 5. Review sites in general skew toward people who had a bad experience and went looking for somewhere to vent, so a single very low score is rarely the full picture, but a gap this wide between two platforms is still worth a few minutes of reading recent reviews yourself before you commit.
