Our take on Kogan Internet
Kogan Internet advertises low headline prices, but they are 12-month introductory rates: NBN 25 is $49.90 for the first year, then steps up to $70.90, and the other tiers step up by more than $10 a month too. Its NBN plans are now billed monthly, so the old prepaid upfront payment no longer applies to fixed NBN (only its 4G home internet plan is prepaid). Customer support is limited and online-only. If you are comfortable with minimal support and want the lowest first-year cost, Kogan can work. Beyond the first year, its standard rates ($70.90 for NBN 25) are close to SpinTel ($69.95) and Tangerine ($72.90), so re-compare when the discount ends.
