Momentum Energy is owned by Hydro Tasmania (a Tasmanian Government enterprise), giving it renewable credentials backed by one of the oldest hydro generation portfolios in Australia. Pricing is competitive, often matching or beating the Big 3. Customer satisfaction is solid. They are a good option for customers who want a smaller retailer with competitive rates and genuine renewable generation backing, without paying a premium for it.
