Our take on Tangerine
Tangerine's standard rates rose on 1 July 2026: NBN 25 is now $72.90, about $1 below Dodo ($73.99) and $7 below TPG ($79.99), though slightly above SpinTel ($69.95). Where Tangerine stands out is introductory pricing, such as NBN 25 at $42.90 for six months and NBN 500 at $59.90, but the price then steps up by $30 or more, so the saving is mainly in the first six months. Customer satisfaction is solid for a budget provider, with Australian-based support. The trade-off is that ACCC speed test participation is limited, so independent speed verification is less robust than for Aussie Broadband or Superloop. If the lowest first-year cost is your priority and you do not need premium support, Tangerine is a strong choice, provided you re-compare when the introductory period ends.
