Our take on Telstra
Telstra delivers the most consistent speeds of any major ISP (100% of advertised in ACCC testing) and has the broadest ecosystem: mobile bundling, Telstra Air wifi hotspots, and the strongest 5G home internet alternative where available. The trade-off is price. Telstra is $10 to $20 per month more expensive than budget providers at every speed tier. Over a year, that is $120 to $240. If you value rock-solid speeds, the Telstra ecosystem, and the comfort of the biggest name in Australian telco, the premium is justifiable. If you just want reliable internet at the lowest price, Aussie Broadband or Superloop deliver near-identical speeds for significantly less.
